Thursday, March 4th- the oblique letter fold

Okay, i have to admit that I'm writing this on friday. But if you knew the day I had yesterday, you would understand that yesterday was not an origami day.
The tast was to make an oblique letter fold. Which basically involves folding lots and ending up with a rectangle of folded paper.
I don't know what an oblique letter fold is for.
It seems pretty pointless to me.
Ideas?

  1. It's a way to package up a letter when you don't have an envelope, good for concealing the content of a note passed during class. It's fancier than just folding it in half twice, and it can also keep a small object, like a raffle ticket or a gift card. It isn't intended to stay folded, it is a temporary wrapping.

Thanks so much for posting the oblique letter fold, even if you didn't see the point. I like that it is easy to unfold without tearing. Some letter folds can be confusing to the recipient if they don't understand how it was made. I just used this fold to make the instructions for a homemade game fit inside the game box.
